THACO INDUSTRIES participates in workshop “Supply Chain Shift – Opportunities for Vietnamese Enterprises”
On September 15, THACO INDUSTRIES participated in the Workshop “Supply Chain Transformation – Opportunities for Vietnamese Enterprises” jointly organized by the Department of Industry, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee, and Tuoi Tre newspaper.
The workshop aims to link and exploit the potential and advantages of businesses in the southern key economic region, creating conditions for businesses to connect and build supply chains in the South and the country. The seminar had the participation of leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Department of Industry, leaders of central ministries and branches, leaders of Binh Duong province and southern cities/provinces, and delegates representing departments, units, associations, corporations, and businesses across the country.
Participating in the workshop with the theme “Supply chain shift – Opportunities for development of mechanics and supporting industries”, Mr. Do Minh Tam – General Director of THACO INDUSTRIES, mentioned the trend of supply chain shifting opens up opportunities for enterprises to develop products and join the global value chain. Besides, it poses challenges for mechanics and supporting industries enterprises in Vietnam. He also proposes solutions to promote the development of this field. He emphasized the indispensable requirement to encourage cooperation and link in the production of mechanical and supporting industries between enterprises in many forms.
Mr. Do Minh Tam – General Director of THACO INDUSTRIES presented the presentation “Supply chain shift – Opportunities for development of mechanics and supporting industries.”
Mr. Do Minh Tam said: “The wave of supply chain transformation is taking place strongly, many multinational corporations have increased investment in Vietnam. This forces businesses to invest boldly in technological innovation and improve competitiveness to join the global supply chain. Also, it’s an inevitable development direction when expanding production scale. Facing the urgent requirements of the market, THACO INDUSTRIES has invested in an R&D Center and 19 mechanics and supporting industries plants with a total investment capital of up to VND 12,000 billion. The corporation has linked and cooperated with domestic enterprises to share about the market, human resources, technology, and governance.
In the coming time, THACO INDUSTRIES will continue to enter into joint ventures with businesses in the southern and northern key regions as a leading company to develop industry-regional linkages, creating opportunities for small and medium enterprises to join the global value chain.
