THACO INDUSTRIES INAUGURATES FACTORIES FOR HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES, SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT, AND AUTOMOTIVE INTERIORS
On February 23, immediately after the launch ceremony for the Year of the Horse, THACO INDUSTRIES held the inauguration ceremony for its Household Equipment, Specialized Equipment, and Automotive Interior factories. The factories were built on a total area of 92,000 m2, with a total investment value of USD 70 million, featuring advanced technology and a high level of automation.

The Household Equipment Factory was built on an area of 25,000 m2, with a total investment of USD 20 million, and has a production capacity of 150,000 fitness equipment products, 140,000 supermarket carts, 100,000 household appliance products, 50,000 sets of high-end furniture products, urban rail seats, and other mechanical components.

The Specialized Equipment Factory was built on an area of 60,000 m2, with a total investment of USD 30 million, and has a production capacity of 75,000 industrial equipment products, agricultural equipment, specialized mechanisms, and 23,000 tons of steel structures.
The two factories are equipped with modern technology and machinery, with automation applied throughout the entire process from blank fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, packing, to delivery. Notable equipment includes sheet steel laser cutting machines, structural steel laser cutting machines, welding robots, and automatic welding gantry systems. In addition, the paint workshop has been newly invested in and expanded with modern technologies, including surface treatment lines and closed color paint booth systems. The factories also apply automation technology with automatic material feeding systems and production management software, meeting export standards.

The Automotive Interior Factory was built on an area of 7,000 m2, with a total investment of USD 20 million; its capacity reaches more than 100,000 product sets per year, with a wide range of products such as passenger vehicle air conditioners, floor trim panels, and headliners. The factory organizes production according to a closed technological process, on automated lines, and under strict control. As a result, it contributes to product diversification, increases the localization rate, and participates in the component supply chain for international automobile brands.
The factories coming into operation will help enhance production capacity and competitiveness, contributing to the formation of a strategic mechanical manufacturing and supporting industry center in Chu Lai – Da Nang, meeting export standards and customers’ specific requirements. On that basis, THACO INDUSTRIES will continue to expand its scale, including the implementation of the Expanded Mechanical and Supporting Industry Center Project (115 hectares), investment in next-generation spare parts and components factories, manufacturing and assembly of electro-mechanical and automation equipment, and a feasibility study for the Heavy Industry Production Center Project (797 hectares), producing oversized and overweight structures, ships, and offshore equipment. This further affirms THACO INDUSTRIES’ pioneering role in developing the mechanical manufacturing and supporting industries in a sustainable direction, contributing to the development of Vietnam’s industrial sector.
