THACO INDUSTRIES PARTICIPATES IN THE 3RD EAI INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON RENEWABLE ENERGY AND SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING
Recently in Ho Chi Minh City, THACO INDUSTRIES took part in the 3rd EAI International Conference on Renewable Energy and Sustainable Manufacturing (EAI ICRESM 2025). The event was co-organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUT – VNU-HCM) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, with THACO INDUSTRIES serving as the diamond sponsor.

With the theme “Development of Renewable Energy and Sustainable Manufacturing in the Era of Green and Digital Transformation,” EAI ICRESM 2025 welcomed more than 120 experts, scientists, lecturers, and leading enterprises in the fields of energy, mechanics, automation, materials, and logistics. Participants came from various countries, including South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. The conference featured plenary and parallel technical sessions, focusing on energy transition, sustainable logistics, advanced manufacturing, and materials for clean energy applications.

During the plenary session, Mr. Pham Truong Tung, Director of the R&D Center at THACO INDUSTRIES, delivered a presentation titled “Driving Green and Digital Transformation at THACO INDUSTRIES.” His presentation emphasized that green transformation and digital transformation are strategic priorities for the corporation as it works to enhance competitiveness and meet global sustainability requirements. THACO INDUSTRIES is actively implementing its transformation roadmap, focusing on emissions reduction and greenhouse gas data management in alignment with international standards, while building a smart manufacturing model driven by digitalization and automation. In addition, the corporation proposed a comprehensive cooperation framework with HCMUT – VNU-HCM in training, scientific research, and technology transfer.

At the event, THACO INDUSTRIES also showcased a booth highlighting its operating model, technological capabilities, and manufacturing capacity. A key highlight was the demonstration of the TIAR-01 robot, developed by the R&D Center. Equipped with artificial intelligence (AI), Lidar sensors, a 3D camera, and an autonomous navigation system, TIAR-01 offers flexible mobility, accurate information delivery, and friendly interaction – supporting customer reception and navigation at events, shopping malls, office buildings, airports, hotels, and other public spaces.

EAI ICRESM 2025 serves as a platform for THACO INDUSTRIES to engage with the scientific community and businesses across the Asia-Pacific region. It fosters meaningful connections and facilitates the exchange of expertise in green transformation, digital transformation, and interdisciplinary research spanning energy, manufacturing, and digital technologies. Through this collaboration, the corporation continues to expand research partnerships, drive technological innovation, build a smart manufacturing foundation, and advance comprehensive digitalization – contributing to the growth and modernization of Vietnam’s industrial sector.
