THACO INDUSTRIES BOOSTS EXPORTS CAR SEAT COVERS TO SOUTH KOREA
In the first quarter of 2025, THACO INDUSTRIES exported nearly 40,000 sets of passenger car seat covers to South Korea, showcasing its ability to produce and supply high-quality OEM parts and components that meet the international market’s demands.
Products are manufactured at the Passenger car seats plant (Under THACO INDUSTRIES), using superior materials such as leather, PVC (simili), and fabric. They possess fire-resistant and scratch-resistant properties while also providing comfort and enhancing the aesthetics and luxury of the car’s interior. The production process of the seat covers is closed-loop from input to output, including: checking input materials, cutting, hot melt pressing, sewing, inspecting, and packing.
At the cutting line, the plant is equipped with CNC cutting machines, leather punching machines, and pattern-pressing machines that process various types of materials. The sewing line has invested in over 300 Juki sewing machines and Midas specialized airbag sewing machines, ensuring absolute accuracy in accordance with customers’ standards and requirements. Simultaneously, the sewing line utilizes production management software to monitor and manage the time between stages, optimizing productivity and product quality. Furthermore, to ensure that the products meet high technical standards, the plant emphasizes strict quality control at each stage in line with the standards of the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, and the Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2015.
In 2025, THACO INDUSTRIES plans to export 195,000 seat covers to South Korea, marking a 12% increase from 2024. Capitalizing on market demand both domestically and internationally, the corporation continues to invest in developing seat covers with diverse designs for passenger cars, trucks, and buses. Additionally, the corporation is enhancing productivity and product quality to penetrate new markets in Asia and North America, aiming to become Southeast Asia’s leading OEM manufacturer in auto parts and participate deeply in the global supply chain.
