Mold manufacturing is a highly automated industry, requiring complex techniques and high precision, and so THACO INDUSTRIES pays special attention to research and mastering technology.
THACO INDUSTRIES has invested simultaneously in all mold production processes such as preform mold design, deep hole drilling, CNC milling, EDM machining, wire cutting machining, CMM measuring, and mold assembly using modern equipment and machinery such as 5-axis milling machines from Japan, the first of its kind in Vietnam, press machines with a maximum pressure of up to 200 tonnes, and double head EDM machines that can work on one or two different molds. The machining process in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines is fully automated with digital control, ensuring accuracy, aesthetics and saving manpower and time.

THACO INDUSTRIES produces various products, including plastic molds, stamping molds, blow molds, extrusion molds, and SMC molds used in several sectors such as automotive, industrial, agriculture, and civil.
It boasts high capabilities in making medium and large-sized plastic molds as currently most mold manufacturing companies in Vietnam produce mainly small-sized molds due to their limited production scale, technology and equipment.

THACO INDUSTRIES participates in Vietnam International Innovation Expo 2023
From October 28th to November 1st, THACO INDUSTRIES participates in the National Innovation Center (NIC) inauguration ceremony and the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2023 (VIIE 2023). THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong attended the event and cut the inauguration ribbon.
VIIE 2023 attracts more than 200 booths of many start-ups and large enterprises in Vietnam and foreign to display and introduce new products and technologies in 8 key areas of the National Innovation Centre, including Smart Factories, Smart Cities, Digital Communications, Environmental Technology, Cybersecurity, Semiconductor Industry, Hydrogen and Health.

Participating in the exposition with the theme “Buiding foundational values, pioneering innovation”, THACO INDUSTRIES introduces Automation Solutions such as indoor warehouse robot AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) and Jig for welding dashboard frames combined with MIG welding robot. AMR can lift and transport raw materials, goods and finished products to required locations in the plant with 350kg lifting weight, 1.25 m/s maximum speed and a 10mm accuracy. In particular, AMR uses Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) technology to automatically navigate when encountering obstacles and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) to help determine the shortest route to perform transportation tasks.
In addition, the corporation also displays mechanical processing products (mold and plastic part, mechanical processing parts); Springs (for trucks, buses and semi-trailers); Localized components and spare parts are assembled on passenger car models. Products are manufactured synchronously and in a complete package from R&D – Manufacturing and Processing – Installation – Operation transfer & Maintenance – Sales.
