FORD MOTOR COMPANY AWARDS Q1 CERTIFICATION TO PLASTIC COMPONENT MANUFACTURING COMPANY

On December 15, Plastic Component Manufacturing Company (TPC), a subsidiary of THACO INDUSTRIES, was awarded the Q1 Certification by Ford Motor Company. This is Ford’s highest recognition for global suppliers, honoring outstanding performance in production capability, product quality, and operational systems that meet the company’s most stringent standards.

The Q1 Certification is granted based on strict compliance with international standards, operational excellence, production capacity, and periodic Q1 assessments conducted at manufacturing facilities. The evaluation framework focuses on three core pillars: quality management, environmental management, and supply capability. As such, the certification recognizes suppliers’ proven ability to consistently deliver high-quality products and maintain stable production performance, while underscoring Ford Motor Company’s confidence in its global supply partners.

To achieve Q1 Certification, TPC has fully complied with key international standards, including IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015, and MMOG/LE (Materials Management Operations Guideline/Logistics Evaluation). In parallel, the company is accelerating its digital transformation through the implementation of an ERP system directly integrated with Ford Motor Company’s data platform, enabling automated order placement and processing. TPC also enforces rigorous quality control across every stage of production to ensure zero defects, on-time delivery, and full compliance with Ford’s global requirements for business ethics, environmental protection, and social responsibility. In Vietnam, TPC is one of only two manufacturers that meet Ford Motor Company’s Q1 quality standards.

As a leading manufacturer and supplier of plastic components in Vietnam, TPC offers a comprehensive product portfolio for the automotive and motorcycle industries. Its products include bumpers, side trims, luggage compartment trims, door panels, dashboards, center armrests, spoilers, side lights, interior lights, wheel covers, and various plastic components for both industrial and civilian applications. Achieving Q1 Certification provides a solid foundation for TPC to supply products and components for major Ford projects.
