Shopping Cart Manufacturing
Standard Metal Cart
Two-tier Carts
Crafted from high-quality plastic, the double basket style grocery carts are not only durable and sturdy but also allow for easy customization. It can also come with two metal baskets to enhance structural stability.
Specialized Carts
Common specifications are: kid-friendly shopping carts, and heavy duty trolley
PRODUCTION LINE
Billet Processing Line
- The process begins with creating blanks, cutting, bending pipes, and stamping the components of the trolley. This step is conducted in the Mechanical Complex Affiliate, with the production system supported by machinery sourced from leading manufacturers in Sweden, Japan, and South Korea, ensuring stable quality and production consistency.
- Before transferring to the Consumer Equipment plant, the manufacturing of shopping carts and trolleys involves advanced sheet metal and tubular steel processing technologies. THACO INDUSTRIES operates laser cutting systems with capacities that can reach up to 30 kW, while shopping cart production typically utilizes laser cutting equipment in the 3–6 kW range to achieve precise cutting quality and material efficiency.
- Besides laser cutting, specialized production lines for tube and box-section processing also include advanced machinery like CNC bending, tube cutting, profile forming, and shaping operations, enabling the efficient manufacture of high-precision shopping cart structures.
Welding Line
- A mixture of CO2 and Argon welding, with smaller welding wire diameter offers faster speed and reduced heat input, tailoring for thin metal parts. This process follows AWS D1.1 quality and is conducted at the Consumer Equipment Plant.
- The qualified weld is free from porosity, cracks, burn marks, and slag inclusions. If the surface needs to be free from excessive burrs, TIG is applied to meet the requirements.
- Notable equipment: eight-head mesh welding machine with power reaching 200kW, and welding robots applying MIG/MAG technology.
Surface Treatment Line
- Surface treatment is operated in the Mechanical Complex Center, mainly involved Zinc plating and hot dip galvanizing, especially suitable for shopping cart products.
- The product can also experience shot blasting or surface-coated with dry powder paint according to customers’ requirements.
- For aluminum carts, it’s possible to apply coating by having them anodized to create a hard oxide layer.
- Notable technology: ED coating line using grand tank size: 17,000×1,600×4,000 mm; powder coating line, product size: 5,400x700x2000 mm.
Plastic Components Production Line
- Involving Plastic Component Company, this collaboration also provides plastic extrusion capabilities (suitable for making components such as handles, and other small parts). With this, THACO INDUSTRIES also positions as a distributor for shopping carts’ plastic components.
Quality Inspection
- Consumer Equipment Plant enforces strict quality control from the selection of raw materials to the finished output through rigorous control processes.
- Standard quality control processes apply advanced machinery such as: Vertical/horizontal flammability tester, melting point testing machine, welding inspection and operation test before delivery to customers.
CERTIFICATIONS & QUALITY STANDARDS
With rigorous production and quality control processes at every stage, adhering to the standards of the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015, the company's products fulfill the stringent requirements from ISO 3834-2 for steel welding structure, as well as EN 1090 for Europe market, with EXC4 level for welding structure.
